Someone Somewhere
You don’t realise I watch you do you? You think I haven’t noticed that you sit 3 rows across from me… 2 rows too far from me to say hello. I watch as you tuck your hair behind your ear for the umpteenth time. I realise I’m staring your way and look away quickly but not before a small smile appears on my face. The smile is there because of you. You don’t realise how many times I have wanted to be the one to tuck that rogue strand of hair away from your face.
My mates reckon I am an idiot and I should be more interested in the girls we hang around with. They don’t see what I see though. A natural beauty who just needs to take her eyes of the ground and give a smile to the world. Being beautiful isn’t about perfection; it’s imperfection that makes you beautiful.
Perhaps one day I’ll get the confidence to come over and sit with you, ignore the world around us and listen to music and converse like never before. Until then I will remain looking your way, waiting for your smile and the day I get to call you mine.
*Article inspired by a favourite song of mine at the moment Someone Somewhere by Jason Reeves. And as a reversed point of view to my article I Want You To Want Me, this time written from the boys POV. Oh and since I’m not a male I just wrote what males in romance books/films/songs tend to seem like, and how most girls think they should act like.
