Sexuality is a big thing in anyone’s life.
No matter whether you’re straight or gay it has some sort of impact.
It doesn’t matter what your sexuality is, you should not be treated differently. Everyone is entitled to make their own choice on what they want to do in life.
I think life is harder for people who are gay. They have been persecuted and bullied for years and years. When our parents were growing up it was so much worse than it is today. If you were gay back in those days you would never be as open about it. You would live a double life just to protect yourself.
These days every one is a lot more open about being gay. Young people are declaring their sexuality from early teenage years and are accepted for it. I do think that sometimes gay people bring a certain amount of bullying on themselves. You don’t need to dress and behave in the stereotypical way to be gay. I have a relative that is gay and you would never know they were unless someone told you.
The one thing that really annoys me about sexuality is some people's opposite gender attitude towards it. Women say female gays are disgusting and it's wrong, but gay guys are cute and wish they had a gay friend. Males say that women gays are awesome and that male gays are just wrong and shouldn’t be allowed. I think both are totally fine. It’s up to the person what sexuality they are and neither is wrong or right.
I do think it’s wrong for everyone gay or straight to be all over each other in public. You don’t need to be tongue tied to say goodbye to a partner. A hug and a peck on the cheek or lips are fine. Other people don’t want to see what you get up to when you’re on your own. We all deserve the right to be with who we want without comments made about it. I say live your life how you want and don’t let other people make your decisions.
